A teacher, before his philosophy class, not saying a word took a glass jar, big and empty, and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full, and immediately, everyone said yes. The professor then picked up a box of marbles and poured into the pot. The pebbles filled all the voids between the golf balls. The teacher asked again if the jar was full and returned to hear from your students so.
Then he took a box of sand and poured into the pot. The sand filled the gaps that still remained and he asked the students again, who responded that the jar was now full.The professor picked up a cup of liquid coffee pot and poured it over wetting the sand. The students laughed at the situation, when the teacher said - I understand that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the most important elements, like God, family and friends. These are elements without which our lives would not be filled and filled with happiness.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car, etc..
The sand represents all the little things. But if we put the sand into the jar first, there would be room for golf balls and marbles for. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small things will never have room for the really important things.
Pay attention to things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children, go out for fun with family and friends, spend a little time to yourself, seek God and believe in Him, seek knowledge, study, practice your favorite sport.
There will always be time for other things but mind of the golf balls first. The rest is just sand.
A student stood up and asked what the coffee represented. The teacher replied:
